I MADE THE TENNIS TEAM!
WE ALL MADE THE TENNIS TEAM!
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!
:)
So yesterday was tennis tryouts.
It was really scary and all of us were like really nervous. Coach told us that we would do drills, and if he doesn't think we're good enough, then he'll send us home. That made all of us really scared. Then in the middle of the first drill he asked me to sit out. Then Lizzie. Then Debbie. Then Carolyn. Then Michelle. Then about half of the others. And he told the rest to go home. Then it was ROUND TWO! Actually, this didn't seem as bad as the first one, so we were all asked to sit out again. And then there were 9... (HAHA) (Uh, you won't get this unless you know the book.) Then we all served and stuff and WE ALL MADE IT! Yup, all nine. Even though there are only 5 spots for the team. So we all train as a team until the tournament, in March, when we will have another round of trials to see who gets to play. Which was kind of a mood-killer. But I'm still psyched :D
I meant to post yesterday but I had SO MUCH TO DO!
In class, we each have to teach one topic to our group. Mine is "Find out the square roots and cube roots of a number using prime factorisation." So first I had to learn about prime factorisation, then figure out how to find out square/cube roots using it. To top it all off, I left my Math textbook in school. :( But I managed to scrape through, kind of.
Oh our Math teacher was like, " See the slide? Singapore's Brainiest Child. SBC! You see? Singapore's Brainiest Child, SBC! I made this just for you!" Silence. "DO YOU LIKE IT?" Hilarious. But you kind of had to be there, because now that I read it, it doesn't seem so funny.
Oh and for LA, we have to read the book of short stories, "A Sense of Belonging". Bo-ring. At least it's in English.
Anyway.
Then today I had tuition! Oh man boringboringboring. Through almost all of tuition, I was just thinking about what I would blog about, which is why this post is longer than usual. Not that I wasn't paying attention or anything. I can multi-task. Kind of.
Oh and tomorrow is our first tennis training! I'm excited :)
I'm like super happy right now because tuition is over and we're having dinner at Raintree and possibly see Faith and tennis training is tomorrow!
Oh and today on the way back from school, me, Sarah and Debbie were reminiscing about lame jokes!
Becky: Hey, look under there! *points outside car*
Debbie: Under where?
Rachel: HAHA you said underwear!!
*Laughter*
-Talking about DISC profiling-
Debbie: I think if I take the test again, my I will be higher.
Sarah: Haha, EYE will be higher! *pretends to remove eyeball and places it on forehead*
*Laughter*
-At the fish and chips place in Perth-
Becky: Hey look! *Points to "Chilli Mussels" sign* Chilli mussels! Chilli MUSCLES!
Rachel: Oh yeah... I was gonna make a joke about that but I thought it would be lame.
*Laughter... only from Debbie, since she was the only one there. *
Haha. Lame. But funny!!!
There are probably lots more lame jokes that we've made. Lots.
Wow. This was a long post. Yippee! :)
